Julia Fitzgerald is the Chief Marketing Officer for the American Lung Association and serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. As Chief Marketing Officer, Fitzgerald is responsible for creating innovative marketing strategies across the organization’s marketing, digital engagement, public relations and internal communications that enhance the Lung Association’s brand awareness among internal and external stakeholders.
Fitzgerald has served as a Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Executive with 20+ years of proven experience. She has led marketing, brand strategy, digital and communications at several national brands including Thermos, Sears, Kmart, Sylvan Learning, Vtech, Azek, and Hallmark Cards. She served as Chief Digital Engagement Officer at Sears Holdings and has deep experience in driving digital transformation, developing digital ecosystems, and executing omni-channel campaigns.
Fitzgerald has served on the Toy Industry Association Board, was a co-founder of the Kansas City Race For The Cure, a recipient of the Toy of the Year Award, Wonder Women in Toys Award, Top 50 Women Brand Marketers Award, and the Sears CEO Leadership Award.
Julia earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a bachelor’s degree in International Business at The Ohio State University. She earned her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern where she continues to guest lecture on marketing.
