After a 40+ year career as a corporate and business lawyer with a private law firm, John Emanuel now works part-time as mergers and acquisitions counsel on the in-house legal team at a regional health care system. Emanuel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Wisconsin and a Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School.
Emanuel has served on the Board of the American Lung Association of Wisconsin since 2002, and served on the steering committee to plan and execute the mergers of the American Lung Associations of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Indiana to form the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest.
He served on the national board from 2010-2020 serving as national board chair from 2018-2020.
