The American Lung Association is proud to have recently earned the coveted 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. The 4-star designation is the highest rating given by the influential Charity Navigator and places the American Lung Association among the very top of U.S. non-profits. Researchers from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine may have taken an important step in improving the ability to detect lung cancer. Their study, recently released in the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, successfully trained three dogs to use their superior smelling skills to identify cancerous blood samples.
