Event Information
Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease and this is your chance to walk or run, raise money and make an impact in their honor. By joining the Fight for Air Walk/Run you are making the commitment to fight lung disease so everyone can breathe easier - including you!
Event Overview
Families, individuals and teams join together in 5K (3.1 mile) walk/run to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from lung disease including asthma, COPD and lung cancer. Participants work together to raise valuable funds to continue the work of the American Lung Association to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in the cause and will walk or run in their communities as well.
You can get involved by:
- Registering as a Team Captain
- Joining an existing Team as a new registrant
- Signing up as an individual registrant
- Sponsoring the event
- Joining the event planning committee
- Making a contribution supporting a registrant
Event Information
You may register at any time on this website by clicking on one of the registration choices listed under "Sign-Up" menu on the left. The 5K event will be held on October 22, 2011 from 8am-12pm at Hazel Ruby-McQuain Waterfront Park. Registration/Check-in begins at 8am. Runners will start at 9:30am. Walkers will start at 9:45am.
All participants (walkers & runners) who raise a minimum of $100 will receive an event T-shirt.

Parking
Parking is available throughout downtown Morgantown and in the wharf district.
Fundraising
We encourage you to fund raise at least $100 toward the cause. This is easier than you think! It is as easy as asking 10 friends for $10. Coaching packets and trainings are available. Please contact our office for more details (304) 342-6600.
