Join the Fight for Air CLIMB! Individuals and teams climb all 47 floors of the US Bank building, downtown - totaling 1,034 steps! More than a run, more than a walk, the Fight for Air Climb is a unique event with an exciting challenge for anyone.
Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in the cause and will climb in their communities as well.
You can get involved by:
- Registering as a Team Captain
- Joining an existing Team as a new registrant
- Signing up as an individual registrant
- Sponsoring the event
- Making a contribution supporting a registrant
You may register at any time on the www.fightforairclimb.org website.
In addition to the registration fee, all participants must raise a minimum of $100 in order to climb. We want to help! Please contact us for fundraising tips. Your minimum fundraising requirement of $100 entitles you to a technical t-shirt. All finishers will also receive a medal. Returning climbers will receive a Fight for Air Climb Alumni pin!
Climb Categories
Half Climb Challenge - Worried about making it to the top? Then the Half Climb is for you!
Ultimate Climb Challenge - Climb the stairwell as many times as you can between the hours of 7 - 8 a.m. There are 47 floors (94 flights, 1,034 steps).
Corporate Team Challenge - Teams of five or more will compete for the title of fastest corporate Team. The top three Corporate Teams will be awarded. Fuel the fun and competition in your work place by creating multiple teams.
Fire Department Challenge - Teams of five firefighters will compete for the title of the fastest Fire Department. Firefighters climb in full gear (mask, boots, tank, etc.) excluding their ax. Firefighters can also climb the Individual Firefighter Challenge for the title of the Fastest Firefighter.
Police Department Challenge - Teams of 5 or more policemen will compete for the title of the fastest Police Department.
Family and Friends - Invite your family and friends to step up to the challenge with you and build a team of 5 or more people.

Half Challenge Climbers
Registration Fee - $15 Early Bird l $25 after January 7, 2012
Ultimate Challenge Climbers
Registration Fee - $40 Early Bird l $50 after January 7, 2012
No matter if you are doing the Half Climb, the Ultimate Climb or climbing on a team, each person must raise the $100 fundraising minimum requirement.
Event Day Information
Start Times- Participants will receive their start times prior to the event via email. Start times will also be posted online 24 hours prior to the event. Start times will begin at 7:00 am and the doors will open at 6 a.m. Participants should arrive 45 minutes prior to their start time. Start times will be assigned in waves. Teams will be assigned the same wave. Climbers will climb individually on 10 second intervals in their wave time.
Packet Pick-up- Check back for packet pick-up dates and locations. All participants will receive a technical tee, goody bag and bib. Timing chips will be given out on event day.
Gear Check- Gear Check will be available to all participants on the day of the event. Please leave any valuable items at home, as we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items at the event.
Water Stations- Water stations are located throughtout the stairwells, at the top of the building and in the refreshment area. Water bottles are not allowed in the stairwells, as it is a safety hazard.
Ticket to Climb

Raise more than $1,000 and be eligible to climb for FREE at any of the other Upper Midwest Region stairclimb events in 2012. No registration fee or additional fundraising required.

Awards
Individual Awards- Awards will be given to the top three finishers for men and women in each category. All participants will be divided into the following age groups:
13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Firefighter Challenge- Fastest Firefighter Team will receive a traveling trophy.
Safety and Climber Etiquette
To ensure the safety of all climbers and to allow for the best experience, please pass slower climbers on the wall without the rail and let them know you are coming from behind to pass. You should always climb on the rail side. Emergency teams will be located on the top floor and on the Galleria Level in case you need assistance. Volunteers will be available at the water stations to notify them if you are in need of help.
