The FIRST TIME

3 Ways to Donate

Sponsor a Walker
Choose this if you would like to donate to a specific individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total for the specific individual. If that individual is on a team, it will also increase the team's fundraising total. You will be able to search for a specific participant to which to donate.
Donate to a Team
Choose this if you would like donate to a team and not a specific participant. Your donation will increase the team fundraising total but not a specific individual on the team. You will be able to search for a specific team to which to donate.
Donate to the Event
Choose this if you would like to donate to the overall event and not to a team or individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total on the event thermometer but will not support a specific team or individual participant. You will not be able to search for a specific team or individual participant to which to donate.

Each year, far too many people are affected by lung disease and this is your chance to walk, raise money and make an impact in their honor. By joining the Fight For Air Walk you are making the commitment to fight lung disease so everyone can breathe easier- including you!

EVENT OVERVIEW

Families, individuals and teams join together in a walk to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from lung disease. Participants come together to raise funds and further our mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.

You can get involved by:

Registering as a Team Captain
Joining an existing Team as a new registrant
Signing up as an individual registrant
Sponsoring the event
Joining the event planning committee
Making a contribution supporting a registrant
Volunteering

EVENT INFORMATION

You may register at any time by following the links in the left navigation area of this page. The walk will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012.

All participants who individually raise at least $100 will receive a walk t-shirt.

FUNDRAISING

We encourage you to raise at least $100 toward the cause. This is easier than you think! It is as easy as asking 10 friends for $10. Coaching packets and trainings are available. Please contact our office for more details (800-LUNG-USA).

Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law. The American Lung Association ® is a registered 501(c)3 organization. Please make checks payable to the American Lung Association in Tennessee.

A fundraising packet is available to help you reach your fundraising minimum. Check out the "Fundraising Help" page on the main menu. If you need additional help in meeting the fundraising minimum requirement, please contact our office at 800-LUNG-USA. The ALA staff is happy to help coach and provide fast and efficient ideas to reach your fundraising requirement.

PARKING

Parking is available at the parking deck under Public Square Park. We have arranged that the fee will only be $3.00 on the morning of the Walk. There is also street parking in the area and at several other decks nearby. Signs directing you to the parking deck under the event site will be located at the entrance on James Robertson Parkway.
