First Responders

NASHVILLE FIRST RESPONDERS CHALLENGE INFORMATION:

FIRST RESPONDER TEAM CAPTAINS:  When registering please make sure you select your team division type (firefighter, EMT, police officer, military officer) as well as entering your company/branch/municipality name during registration.

All Fire (partial/no gear), Police, EMTs, Military officers wanting to compete without full fire gear will be asked to climb in bunk shirts and/or partial uniforms and register for this option.  Have your team captain designate your Team Division as Firefighter, Police, etc and note your company as your municipality, local/city, branch, etc.  Firefighters not climbing in full gear will still be able to climb with your teammates, but your time will be scored for non-full gear awards.

Firefighters wishing to climb in full-gear structural firefighting protective equipment must meet current NFPA standards.
 
This includes: Boots, turnout coat and pants, helmet, gloves, and SCBA harness with air cylinder. SCBA face pieces and hoods do not need to be worn. Firefighters will not be on air.

All climbers must raise a minimum of $100 to participate in addition to their registration fee.

First Responder Awards:

Highest Fundraising First Responder Team – The team who raises the most funds by the close of fundraising will be awarded a “Traveling Trophy” to take back to their firehouse/station/etc for 2013 and the coveted 1st First Responder Team to Climb the Tennessee Tower slot in 2014.

Fastest Firefighter Full Gear Challenge Team - Note:  This is not a relay.  Team average will be determined by taking the top three times of individuals from each team, no matter how large or small the team.

Fastest First Responder Team (Includes non-full gear firefighters) - Team average will be determined by taking the top three times of individuals from each team, no matter how large or small the team.  The fastest team will be awarded a “Traveling Trophy” to take back to their firehouse/station/etc for 2013.
