Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease and this is your chance to Run/Walk, raise money, and make an impact in their honor. By joining the Pittsburgh Fight for Air Run/Walk, you are making the commitment to fight lung disease so everyone can breathe easier- including you!
Registered participants run or walk along the North Shore Riverfront Trail to downtown Pittsburgh. Runners will start first and run the USATF certified course. All RUNNERS are professionally timed, with awards given in a number of categories at the Post Event Celebration immidiately following the event. However, there is no time limit when walking the route. Participants who register as walkers can walk, run, or take a break after every mile... you set your own pace. There will be water stops along the way.
Walk or Run as an individual or as a team. Families, individuals, and teams join together in the Fight for Air Run/Walk to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from asthma and other lung diseases. The Fight for Air Run/Walk is a major fundraising event for the American Lung Association so participants are suggested to fundraise a minimum of $100 for the much needed funds for lung disease prevention programs, research, and advocacy. Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in the cause and will join in the Fight for Air.
