Fight for Air Climbs are the American Lung Association’s most unique fundraisers. Climbs take place in prominent skyscrapers, stadiums or arenas and involve walking, running or racing up hundreds of steps. Sometimes called a "vertical road race", teams and individual participants can use the event as a fitness target, as a race, or as a great way to be active and meet new friends.
We know a lot about lung disease, but there is so much we don't know. Your participation will raise the funds necessary to provide lifesaving education, research and advocacy so we can beat lung disease and soon find a cure.

EVENT DAY SCHEDULE
8:30 Stairmaster begins
9:00 Climb begins
It is suggested that climbers arrive 45 minutes prior to their scheduled start time to check- in, retrieve your bib and timing chip, and stretch. Volunteers should arrive at the building promptly at 7:15 AM.
Awards & Post Event Celebration!
Immediately following the climb, climbers, friends, and family are encouraged to attend the Post Event Celebration which will be located in the lobby of One Oxford Centre. Friends and family can enjoy complementary food and beverages, music, and can even watch you cross the finish line on our live streaming screen! All climbers recieve a t-shirt and goodie bag at the Post Event Celebration.
Awards will be given in the following categories:
-Overall fastest male and female climbers
-Overall fastest team*
-1st, 2nd, 3rd place medals in each age category for both male and female climbers
-1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies for top fundraising teams
-1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies for top fundraising individuals
-Overall Fastest First Responder In Gear Trophy
-Overall Fastest First Responder Without Gear Trophy
-Fastest First Responder Team*
Most Team Spirit
*You must have at least 4 team members to be qualified for this award. Top 4 fastest times receive medal.

Parking is available at three garages:
One Oxford Centre garage ($5 cash only)
Macy's Parking garage ($5 cash and card)
Blvd. of the Allies garage ($5 cash and card)
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
FEE AND FUNDRAISING MINIMUM DETAILS: The Registration Fee is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. Climbers have until event day to meet their Minimum Fundraising Requirement of $100. Climbers who have not met their fundraising requirement on event day will need to pay the outstanding amount in order to participate in the Climb. Pledges made to the American Lung Association on behalf of climbers who cancel or do not participate in the Climb are non-refundable.
COLLECTING PLEDGES AND FUNDRAISING: Our online fundraising tools make fundraising quick and simple. You can personalize your webpage with a photo and text about what motivates you to join the "Fight for Air". Send emails to friends and family or link to your Facebook page asking for support and to receive online credit card pledges. Keep track of your donors using the Climb Pledge Form. Make sure to send this in with your checks you collect, completely filled out. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law.
