Official Happy Hour Kickoff: Friday, February 24, 2012
The Fight for Air Climb Kickoff is an event that takes place a month before the Fight for Air Climb. It's a great excuse for teams, individual climbers, sponsors, and supporters, to come together and get excited for the climb. Enjoy food, drinks and music, participate in raffles, and network with fellow American Lung Association supporters, while also getting insider-tips about race day. Bring friends, family, and co-workers along with you - the event is open to ANYONE! Trying to talk a couple friends into joining your team? Bring them to the Kickoff and we'll help motivate them to join the fun!
When: Friday, February 24, 2012 from 5:30pm-8:00pm
Where: Buckhead Saloon - Station Square, 225 West Station Square Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15219
Parking: There is a parking garage next to Buckshead Saloon
Cost: FREE for Registered Climbers and only $5 for non-climbers

9:00AM - 11:00AM - Climbing Begins In This Order:
1) Elite Climbers (climbers with an estimated finish time of 6-11 minutes)
2) Individual Climbers
3) Climb Teams
4) First Responders Not In Gear
5) First Responders In Gear
9:15AM - 12:30 AM - Post Event Celebration & Awards Ceremony
Post Event Celebration: Saturday, March 24, 2012
Immediately after climbing, there is a Celebration waiting in the lobby of One Oxford Centre! After climbing 897 steps and raising awareness and funds for the ALA's mission, we have to celebrate! Participants, friends and family, are invited to join us for the Post Event Celebration from 9:00am - 12:30pm. Enjoy music, complimentary food and drinks, and more. Guests can watch you cross the finish line through our live streaming video!
Easy Street Pittsburgh (located in the lobby of One Oxford Centre) will also be open for the Post Event Celebration serving hot food and drink specials for Climbers and Spectators. More details about the specialty menu and drink are coming soon!
Early Packet Pick-Up is available on Friday, March 23, 2012 at One Oxford Centre Lobby from 4PM-7PM.
Don't rush on event morning. Pick up your climbing packet (includes timing chip, racer bib, and safety pins) the day before. Please bring additional fundraising with you. The $100 fundraising minimum must be turned in before picking up your racer pack. Team members & captains can pick up race packets for others-just make sure you don't lose it or forget it the next morning... you cannot get another!
