Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease and this is your chance to climb, raise money, and make an impact in their honor. By joining the Pittsburgh Fight for Air Climb, you are making the commitment to fight lung disease so everyone can breathe easier- including you!
Event Overview
Registered participants climb up the 45 floors (897 steps) of One Oxford Centre located in downtown Pittsburgh. Participants climb the steps in 15 second intervals and take the elevator down. You climb only once. All climbers are professionally timed, with awards given in a number of categories at the Post Event Celebration immidiately following the event. However, there is no time limit when climbing. Climbers can walk, run, or take a break after every floor... you set your own pace. There will be water stops along the way.
Climb as an individual or as a team. Families, individuals, and teams join together in the Fight for Air Climb to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from asthma and other lung diseases. The Fight for Air Climb is a major fundraising event for the American Lung Association so participants are required to fundraise a minimum of $100 for the much needed funds for lung disease prevention programs, research, and advocacy. Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in the cause and will climb in the Fight for Air.
You can get involved by:
- Registering as a Team Captain
- Joining an existing Team as a new climber
- Signing up as an individual climber
