The FIRST TIME

4 Ways to Participate

Start a Team
Choose this if you would like to start your own team for your friends, family, or company. You will have the opportunity to set up your team, create a team page, and also have a personal fundraising page.
Join a Team
Choose this if you want to join a team that has already been set up by your team captain. You will be able to see how your fundraising supports your team and you will also be able to have a personal fundraising page. Even if you join a team, you are still required to raise the minimum fundraising amount for an individual.
Join as an Individual
Choose this if you are not starting or joining a team and would prefer to participate as an individual. You will be able to set up a personal fundraising page to share with your friends to support your fundraising efforts.
Volunteer
If you prefer not to participate but would rather volunteer for the event, click here. You will still be able to join a team and set up a personal fundraising page if you wish to raise money for the event.

3 Ways to Donate

Sponsor a Climber
Choose this if you would like to donate to a specific individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total for the specific individual. If that individual is on a team, it will also increase the team's fundraising total. You will be able to search for a specific participant to which to donate.
Donate to a Team
Choose this if you would like donate to a team and not a specific participant. Your donation will increase the team fundraising total but not a specific individual on the team. You will be able to search for a specific team to which to donate.
Donate to the Event
Choose this if you would like to donate to the overall event and not to a team or individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total on the event thermometer but will not support a specific team or individual participant. You will not be able to search for a specific team or individual participant to which to donate.

Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease and this is your chance to climb, raise money and make an impact in their honor. By joining the Fight for Air Climb at Hersheypark Stadium on April 16, 2011, you are making the commitment to fight lung disease so everyone can breathe easier- including you!

Registration Information

You may register at any time on this website by clicking on one of the registration choices listed under "Sign Up" menu on the left. The climb will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Hersheypark Stadium, Hershey, PA 17036. Registration starts at 9:00am and the climb begins at 10:00am.

In addition to the $25 registration fee, each participant is required to raise $100 for the fight against lung disease. Participants who individually raise the minimum fundraising goal of $100 will receive a complimentary t-shirt.

Event Overview

Families, individuals and teams join together in a climb to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from lung disease including asthma, COPD and lung cancer. Participants work together to raise valuable funds to continue the work of the American Lung Association to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.

Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in the cause and will climb in their communities as well.

You can get involved by:
• Registering as a Team Captain
• Joining an existing Team as a new registrant
• Signing up as an individual registrant
• Sponsoring the event
• Joining the event planning committee
• Making a contribution supporting a registrant

Parking

Parking is available at the stadium.

Fundraising

Raising the $100 is easier than you think! It is as easy as asking 10 friends for $10. Coaching packets and trainings are available. Please contact one of the ALA Climb Team members listed at the bottom of this page.
