The FIRST TIME

4 Ways to Participate

Start a Team
Choose this if you would like to start your own team for your friends, family, or company. You will have the opportunity to set up your team, create a team page, and also have a personal fundraising page.
Join a Team
Choose this if you want to join a team that has already been set up by your team captain. You will be able to see how your fundraising supports your team and you will also be able to have a personal fundraising page.
Join as an Individual
Choose this if you are not starting or joining a team and would prefer to participate as an individual. You will be able to set up a personal fundraising page to share with your friends to support your fundraising efforts.
Volunteer
If you prefer not to participate but would rather volunteer for the event, click here. You will still be able to join a team and set up a personal fundraising page if you wish to raise money for the event.

3 Ways to Donate

Choose this if you would like to donate to a specific individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total for the specific individual. If that individual is on a team, it will also increase the team's fundraising total. You will be able to search for a specific participant to which to donate.
Donate to a Team
Choose this if you would like donate to a team and not a specific participant. Your donation will increase the team fundraising total but not a specific individual on the team. You will be able to search for a specific team to which to donate.
Donate to the Event
Choose this if you would like to donate to the overall event and not to a team or individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total on the event thermometer but will not support a specific team or individual participant. You will not be able to search for a specific team or individual participant to which to donate.

Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease and this is your chance to walk, raise money and make an impact in their honor. By joining the Fight for Walk you are making the commitment to fight lung disease so everyone can breathe easier- including you!

Event Overview

Families, individuals and teams join together in a walk to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from asthma. Participants work together to fundraise.

Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in the cause and will walk in their communities as well.

You can get involved by:

Registering as a Team Captain
Joining an existing Team as a new registrant
Signing up as an individual registrant
Sponsoring the event
Joining the event planning committee
Making a contribution supporting a registrant

Specific Event Information

Cleveland Fight For Air Walk will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Burke Lakefront Airport, located at 1501 North Marginal Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44114.

You may register at any time on this website, by calling 216-532-8201, or as a walk-in on Walk Day. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. The actual walk begins at 10:00 a.m.

All participants who individually raise and turn in at least $100 by walk day will receive an official event t-shirt on the day of the walk.

The Cleveland Fight For Air Walk offers 2 walk routes – a 3 mile and a 1 mile route. Participants can choose either route to walk at his or her own pace along downtown Cleveland’s lakefront and main attractions to include: Voinovich Park, Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame, Great Lakes Science Center, William G. Mather Steamship and Museum, and the Cleveland Browns stadium to name a few.

After completing the walk, enjoy the plentiful food and beverages and enjoy the music, courtesy of Starr D’Avril, Disc Jockey.

Take advantage of the health screenings and healthy information provided by Cleveland’s medical institutions.

Also don’t forget to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win some great prizes.
