The FIRST TIME
you attempt to use your social networking account on this site, you will have to:

4 Ways to Participate

Start a Team
Choose this if you would like to start your own team for your friends, family, or company. You will have the opportunity to set up your team, create a team page, and also have a personal fundraising page.
Join a Team
Choose this if you want to join a team that has already been set up by your team captain. You will be able to see how your fundraising supports your team and you will also be able to have a personal fundraising page. Even if you join a team, you are still required to raise the minimum fundraising amount for an individual.
Join as an Individual
Choose this if you are not starting or joining a team and would prefer to participate as an individual. You will be able to set up a personal fundraising page to share with your friends to support your fundraising efforts.
Volunteer
If you prefer not to participate but would rather volunteer for the event, click here. You will still be able to join a team and set up a personal fundraising page if you wish to raise money for the event.

3 Ways to Donate

Sponsor a Climber
Choose this if you would like to donate to a specific individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total for the specific individual. If that individual is on a team, it will also increase the team's fundraising total. You will be able to search for a specific participant to which to donate.
Donate to a Team
Choose this if you would like donate to a team and not a specific participant. Your donation will increase the team fundraising total but not a specific individual on the team. You will be able to search for a specific team to which to donate.
Donate to the Event
Choose this if you would like to donate to the overall event and not to a team or individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total on the event thermometer but will not support a specific team or individual participant. You will not be able to search for a specific team or individual participant to which to donate.

Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease and this is your chance to climb, raise money and make an impact in their honor. By joining the Fight for Air Climb, you are making the commitment to fight lung disease so everyone can breathe easier- including you! Families, individuals and teams join together to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from asthma and lung disease. Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in our cause and will climb in their communities as well!

You can get involved by:

Registering as a Team Captain
Joining an existing team as a new registrant
Signing up as an individual registrant
Sponsoring the event
Making a contribution supporting a registrant

Important Event Information

Online registration cuts off on Friday, April 15 at 11:59 PM. UPDATE: You can register the day of the event from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM.
All participants pay a $25 entry fee and commit to raising an additional $75. Participants who individually raise at least $100 will receive a complimentary t-shirt.
All participants must pick up their packet on Friday, April 15 anytime from noon to 6 PM. Packet pickup will be at Eclipse Running located on the corner of Lakeside and McCarran. Your packet will have your racing bib, t-shirt and a few other surprises!
Chip timing will be done by Halluncination Sports: http://www.hallucinationsports.com/
NEW IN 2011: A pancake feed and live band! The Climb will be held on Sunday, April 17 and it begins at 8:15 sharp! We advise being in the expo area no later than 7:30 to ensure you are ready and in line for your start time. The pancake feed will run from 7:45 - 11:00. The first wave of participants will be "elite" status participants (that means fast!) followed by the firefighters.

Directions
The Silver Legacy Resort Casino is located in downtown Reno at 407 North Virginia Street. The event expo area and climb starting area are on Fourth Street between West and Sierra Streets (Fourth Street will be closed between West and Sierra).

Parking
City parking is available in downtown Reno along with parking at the Silver Legacy, Eldorado and Circus Circus garages.

Fundraising
We encourage you to fund raise at least $100 toward the cause. This is easier than you think! It is as easy as asking 10 friends for $10. Coaching packets and trainings are available. Please contact our office for more details 775.829.5873.

Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law. The American Lung Association ® is a registered 501 (c) 3 organization. Please make checks payable to the American Lung Association in Nevada.

The ALA staff is happy to help coach and provide fast and efficient ideas to reach your fundraising requirement.
