The FIRST TIME
you attempt to use your social networking account on this site, you will have to:
1. Log into your social networking site.
2. Give permission for the American Lung Association (ALA) to access your social networking profile.
3. Validate your social network profile by either LINKING it to a new or existing LungUSA.org online account.
Existing Accounts
If you already have a LungUSA.org website account or if you have ALREADY REGISTERED FOR THIS EVENT: During the social networking validation step, select the option labeled “Have an account already? Log in here”.
New Accounts
If you DON’T already have a LungUSA.org website account: During the social networking validation step, verify the information that was obtained from your social networking site and click “Register”.

4 Ways to Participate

Start a Team
Choose this if you would like to start your own team for your friends, family, or company. You will have the opportunity to set up your team, create a team page, and also have a personal fundraising page.
Join a Team
Choose this if you want to join a team that has already been set up by your team captain. You will be able to see how your fundraising supports your team and you will also be able to have a personal fundraising page. Even if you join a team, you are still required to raise the minimum fundraising amount for an individual.
Join as an Individual
Choose this if you are not starting or joining a team and would prefer to participate as an individual. You will be able to set up a personal fundraising page to share with your friends to support your fundraising efforts.
Volunteer
If you prefer not to participate but would rather volunteer for the event, click here. You will still be able to join a team and set up a personal fundraising page if you wish to raise money for the event.

3 Ways to Donate

Sponsor a Climber
Choose this if you would like to donate to a specific individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total for the specific individual. If that individual is on a team, it will also increase the team's fundraising total. You will be able to search for a specific participant to which to donate.
Donate to a Team
Choose this if you would like donate to a team and not a specific participant. Your donation will increase the team fundraising total but not a specific individual on the team. You will be able to search for a specific team to which to donate.
Donate to the Event
Choose this if you would like to donate to the overall event and not to a team or individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total on the event thermometer but will not support a specific team or individual participant. You will not be able to search for a specific team or individual participant to which to donate.

We appreciate your support for the American Lung Association, and we want to reward you for your fundraising efforts! We are excited to offer incentives (see below) that you can earn as you hit new fundraising levels - these are items you can't buy anywhere as they are customized for our event - so we hope you'll enjoy earning them and take pride in using them!

Please note: if you register on or after April 18, we cannot guarantee that we will have an event t-shirt available for you on the day of the event. If you fulfill your fundraising minimum and there is no shirt available for you, we will order a shirt for you and get it to you following the event.

At least three weeks following the event day, incentive gift redemption certificates will be emailed to you from FightForAirEvents@lung.org. If you do not have a unique email address and share with another participant, your certificate will be mailed to address included with your registration.

Your incentive gift redemption certificate is our token of appreciation for your hard work. You may redeem for your exclusive American Lung Association Climb gifts by following the instructions on the certificate. Each certificate will allow redemption of one item at or below the level you achieved. Your gift will be shipped within 15 days after placing your order.

Please add FightForAirEvents@lung.org to your email address book to ensure delivery of your incentive gift redemption certificate.

We are thrilled to award these fundraising incentives: but if you would rather donate their cost back to benefit the mission of the Lung Association, you are free to do so and we certainly appreciate it: just let us know! Incentive prizes are not cumulative.

Incentives are awarded based only on money turned in (cash, checks, credit card) by the deadline. Matching gifts are included if the participant provides the appropriate matching gift form when turning in the eligible donation. Corporate sponsorship donations may not be calculated to qualify for incentive prizes. The American Lung Association reserves the right to substitute an incentive prize of equal value.
