Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease and this is your chance to walk, raise money and make an impact in their honor. By joining the Fight for Air Run/Walk you are making the commitment to fight lung disease so everyone can breathe easier- including you!
Families, individuals and teams join together in a walk to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from asthma. Participants work together to fundraise.
Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in the cause and will walk in their communities as well.

Date: Saturday May 10, 2014
Location: Harbor View Baldwin Park, 4990 New Broad Street, Orlando Florida 32814
Time: Registration opens at 6:30AM, announcements begin at 7:00am, and the Run/Walk begins at 7:30AM
Registration Amount: Registration rate is $25 for walkers, runners, and virtual participants through May 4, 2014, then $35 the week of the event May 5-10. Registration rate for children ages 5-12 is $15. Volunteer registration is free.
Line-up: Runners and walkers will all start the certified 5k at 7:30 AM, however runners will be called to line-up at the start line in advance. All walkers should respectfully allow runners to move to the front of the pack.
Route: The 5k race is professionally timed and the course is certified.
Awards: Stay for the post-race party!! After the race hang out with the American Lung Association and enjoy music, food and entertainment! Invite your friends and family members to cheer for you and enjoy all of the festivities.
Goodys: All registered participants will receive a complimentary official Fight For Air Run/Walk event T-shirt, goody bag, and timing bib.
Team Week April 7-11
Thank you to all participants for a fantastic Team Week. Together we recruited over 50 participants and FUNdraised over $5,000 during Team Week. We thank you for your support to our cause and your dedication. You are truly making a difference!

Are you participating In Memory or In Honor of a Loved One?
For those participating in the Fight for Air Run/Walk in honor or in memory of a loved one that has battled lung disease, the American Lung Association would love to recognize your loved one on the “In Memory and In Honor" banner. Please email the photo, loved one’s name, lung disease, and for those in memory, the years to celebrate their life (example: 1939-2009) to email@example.com. The deadline for receiving photos is Wednesday, April 30, 2014.

Packet Pickup will be held at Sports Authority located at 3230 E. Colonial Drive directly across from Fashion Square Mall. Mark your calendar for packet pick-up Thursday May 8 and Friday May 9 from 11:00am - 7:00pm. Please come in to pick up your race packet, bib, and t-shirt and Sports Authority will have some special deals for participants as well.
Packet pick-up is not mandatory, but recommended! You may also pick up your packet on event day, May 10, as early as 6:30am.

Camp Gladiator Trainings
Join us for an outdoor athletic training boot camp with a fun twist. The trainers with Camp Gladiator will get you in great shape to participate in the Fight for Air Run/Walk!
Trainings will be offered on Saturdays and on Wednesdays in various locations. Please join us for free trainings on the following dates:

Bring a yoga mat or towel, water, and a great attitude. On Saturdays bring light weights (8-10lb.) if you have them.

We are expecting over 800 attendees and we need volunteers to help with all aspects of the event from setting up, helping to run the actual event, packet pickup, and more! This event would not be possible without our amazing volunteers who join together to help make it so successful. It is an exciting day for volunteers with responsibilities such as cheering on runners and walkers, handing out water, assisting at booths, and much more.
All VoLUNGteers registered by April 30, 2014 are guaranteed to receive an official staff event t-shirt. Volunteers will also be provided water and breakfast the morning of the event as well.
To register as a volunteer, go to the home page www.OrlandoLungRun.org and click "Sign up as Volunteer" on the left side of the page. Volunteers are needed Thursday and Friday, May 8 and 9 from 11:00am-7:00pm for working packet pickup at Sports Authority on East Colonial Drive and on event day, Saturday May 10, 2014 from 4:00am- noon. Volunteers will not be prompted to enter a requested shift during registration, but once registered we will call you to discuss your availability.
Awards and Food Specials
We would like to recognize our top fundraisers and top finishers for their outstanding support and effort. First, second, and third place awards will be given to the top three finishers in designated age divisions for male and female categories. Awards will be given after the Run/Walk is complete, so stick around and enjoy some goodies from the sponsor booths. There will be food and drinks available, face painting for the kids, an obstacle course for the kids, cornhole games and much more!
Gator's Dockside will open at 10:00 on May 10 adn 15% of their proceeds will go to the ALA. Also, Au Naturel Juice and Smoothie Bar will be onsite and 10% of their proceeds will go to the ALA!

Parking will be available in public parking lots in Baldwin Park. Signage and directions for parking will be provided closer to the day of event.
We encourage you to fund raise at least $100 toward the cause. This is easier than you think! It is as easy as asking 10 friends for $10. When you register, each participate is given their own fundraising webpage/link to send out to friends, family, co-workers, etc. Watch your fundraising thermometer rise as your donations come in. Check out the "Fundraising Tips" page on the main menu. The ALA staff is happy to help coach and provide fast and efficient ideas to reach your fundraising requirement.
