Event Information

Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease and this is your chance to climb, raise money and make an impact in their honor. By joining the Fight for Air Climb, you are making the commitment to fight lung disease so everyone can breathe easier- including you!
 
Event Overview
Families, individuals and teams join together in a climb to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from asthma. Participants work together to fundraise.
 
Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in the cause and will climb in their communities as well.
 
You can get involved by:

  • Registering as a Team Captain
  • Joining an existing Team as a new registrant
  • Signing up as an individual registrant
  • Sponsoring the event
  • Joining the event planning committee
  • Making a contribution supporting a registrant 

Event Information
Online registration is now closed but don't let that stop you from joining us! Please register onsite on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2104 High Point Place, Fort Myers, FL. The day of event registration fee is $35 and each participant must have an additional $100 in pledges to turn in the day of the event to be able to climb.

High Point Place is a luxury waterfront high rise condominium community located on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River on the west side of downtown Fort Myers. Close to venerable McGregor Boulevard and within walking distance of all The River District has to offer: shopping, dining, boating, entertainment, museums and culture. All residences have unsurpassed views of the Caloosahatchee River and The River District. In addition to the 255 tower condominiums, High Point Place also has 18 city homes which add to the ambiance and make living at High Point Place the ultimate cosmopolitan

All participants who individually raise at least $100 will receive a complimentary t-shirt.

Directions
The climb takes place in 2104 High Point Place located directly across from the Riverfront Center on 2075 W. 1st Street. You will walk up the driveway ramp and enter through the main glass double doors. There in the lobby you will check-in and then take the elevator to the 3rd floor to go to the outdoor courtyard to collect your bib and timing chip. Parking 
Parking: Is available thanks to the Riverfront Center at 2075 W. 1st Street behind their office building in their building parking lot off of Wilna St.  This is a private lot opened for Saturday, April 30 for the climb only. Other parking is also available in empty grass lot owned and for sale by Cameratta Properties. The lot is near Publix between Altamont and Virginia and McGregor and West 1st Street, about 2 blocks away from 2104 High Point Place.

Food and Lodging
The Holiday Inn Downtown Historic District and Palms Bar & Grill in Ft. Myers is offering stair climbers and supporters the following:
*Special $69 per night rate
*10% discount in the Palms Bar & Grille restaurant
*Free shuttle service to and from High Point Place

Fundraising
We encourage you to fund raise at least $100 toward the cause.  This is easier than you think!  It is as easy as asking 10 friends for $10.  Coaching packets and trainings are available.  Please contact our office for more details.

Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law. The American Lung Association ® is a registered 501 (c) 3 organization. Please make checks payable to the American Lung Association in Florida.

A fundraising packet is available to help you reach your fundraising minimum.  Check out the "Fundraising Help" page on the main menu.  If you need additional help in meeting the fundraising minimum requirement, please contact our office at (239) 908-2680  .  The ALA staff is happy to help coach and provide fast and efficient ideas to reach your fundraising requirement.
