Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease and this is your chance to walk, raise money and make
an impact in their honor. By joining the Fight for Air Walk you are making the commitment to fight lung
disease so everyone can breathe easier- including you!
The 2010 Fight for Air Walk is dedicated to George "Web" Weberling
As a young adult, George "Web" Weberling dedicated his life to preventing lung disease and promoting lung health. He wanted everyone to be able to "breathe easy."
As an employee of the American Lung Association for 40 years, George made certain that everyone he met understood his mission to improve life, one breath at a time. He also made certain that everyone he spoke with left their encounter smiling. Full of spit and vinegar and a few hundred costumes, Web furthered his cause with humor and good cheer.
Web organized so many events during his years with the American Lung Association, each one trying to be better and more fun than the last. It seems fitting that we dedicate the 2010 Fight For Air Walk to Web in memoriam.
It seems fitting to give him one more event on which to leave his mark.
Families, individuals and teams join together in a walk to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans
who suffer from a chronic lung disease like asthma, emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Participants work together to fundraise.
Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in the cause and will walk in their
communities as well.
