The Fight For Air Walk is just around the corner! Below is everything you need to know to make your fight for air experience great!
All participants must register to participate. Individuals can register on the website (www.fightforairwalk.org there is no registration fee) or at the event.
Donations may be collected and turned in prior to the event (credit card donations are automatically charged via the website; cash and check donations may be mailed or delivered to the ALAC office at 2750 Fourth Ave., San Diego, CA 92103) or donations may be turned in on the day of the event.
Each participant who raises $100 or more, will receive an official Fight For Air walk t-shirt. Awards will be presented to top fundraisers. Other incentives are available and will be presented within 30 days of the walk.
All participants should check in at the Registration tent. Team leaders are encouraged to organize a meeting point and time at the Park, and the team is encouraged to check in at once. For suggestions on meeting points, please call 297-3901 or email Fightforair@lung.org. If you are person living with lung disease, please tell us when you check in, so we may recognize your fight for air!
7:30 am - Registration and vendor booth open!
7:30 - 8:30 am - continental breakfast, kids zone (bounce house) face painting, clowns, team pictures, biggest breath contest and music from Magic 92.5
8:30 - 9:00 Warm up, announcements and sponsor, top fundraisers and lung disease patient recognition.
10:00 - 11:00 am - more fun, awards and music!
Directions - Embarcadero Marina Park is located directly behind the San Diego Convention Center. To access the park, take Harbor Drive and turn south on the Park Blvd (near the Hilton Hotel). Park Blvd turns into Convention Way. The park is located just past Joe's Crab Shack.
Participants are encouraged to take mass transit to the Fight For Air Walk - your trip will improve our air quality! Take the trolley to the Convention Center stop and proceed to the Park from Harbor Drive. For more information use this Mass Transit link.
Parking meters are free on Sunday. Lots D1 and D2 at the Southwest corner of Park Blvd. and Imperial Ave. are available for $5 and a free shuttle will run from this lot to the Walk site beginning at 7:30 am. You can walk to the event from these lots - proceed West to the end of the street and take the pedestrian bridge over Harbor Blvd. to Park Blvd. Follow the street to the entrance of Embarcadero Marina Park. Many public parking lots are available - however they can be expensive ($10).

Families, individuals and teams join together in a walk to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from asthma. Participants work together to fundraise.
Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in the cause and will walk in their communities as well. THERE IS NO COST TO PARTICIPATE.
You can get involved by:
- Registering as a Team Captain
- Joining an existing Team as a new registrant
- Signing up as an individual registrant
- Sponsoring the event
- Joining the event planning committee
- Making a contribution supporting a registrant
We encourage you to fund raise at least $100 toward the cause. This is easier than you think! It is as easy as asking 10 friends for $10. Coaching packets and trainings are available. Please contact our office for more details 619-297-3901 or email@example.com.
