The FIRST TIME
you attempt to use your social networking account on this site, you will have to:

2. Give permission for the American Lung Association (ALA) to access your social networking profile.
3. Validate your social network profile by either LINKING it to a new or existing LungUSA.org online account.

If you already have a LungUSA.org website account or if you have ALREADY REGISTERED FOR THIS EVENT: During the social networking validation step, select the option labeled “Have an account already? Log in here”.
New Accounts
If you DON’T already have a LungUSA.org website account: During the social networking validation step, verify the information that was obtained from your social networking site and click “Register”.

4 Ways to Participate

Start a Team
Choose this if you would like to start your own team for your friends, family, or company. You will have the opportunity to set up your team, create a team page, and also have a personal fundraising page.
Join a Team
Choose this if you want to join a team that has already been set up by your team captain. You will be able to see how your fundraising supports your team and you will also be able to have a personal fundraising page. Even if you join a team, you are still required to raise the minimum fundraising amount for an individual.
Join as an Individual
Choose this if you are not starting or joining a team and would prefer to participate as an individual. You will be able to set up a personal fundraising page to share with your friends to support your fundraising efforts.
Volunteer
If you prefer not to participate but would rather volunteer for the event, click here. You will still be able to join a team and set up a personal fundraising page if you wish to raise money for the event.

3 Ways to Donate

Sponsor a Climber
Choose this if you would like to donate to a specific individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total for the specific individual. If that individual is on a team, it will also increase the team's fundraising total. You will be able to search for a specific participant to which to donate.
Donate to a Team
Choose this if you would like donate to a team and not a specific participant. Your donation will increase the team fundraising total but not a specific individual on the team. You will be able to search for a specific team to which to donate.
Donate to the Event
Choose this if you would like to donate to the overall event and not to a team or individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total on the event thermometer but will not support a specific team or individual participant. You will not be able to search for a specific team or individual participant to which to donate.

2nd Annual Fight For Air Climb, San Diego

March 18, 2012 * Omni San Diego Hotel * San Diego

The registration website will be open until 5pm on Friday March 16.

Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease and this is your chance to climb, raise money and make an impact in their honor. By joining the Fight for Air Climb, you are making the commitment to fight lung disease so everyone can breathe easier- including you!

Event Overview

Families, individuals and teams join together in a climb to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from asthma. Participants work together to fundraise.

Please join the thousands of individuals across the nation who believe in the cause and will climb in their communities as well.

You can get involved by:

Registering as a Team Captain
Joining an existing Team as a new registrant
Signing up as an individual registrant
Sponsoring the event
Joining the event planning committee
Making a contribution supporting a registrant
Sharing on Facebook or Twitter

Registration Information

You may register at any time leading up to the Climb by choosing the approriate optin under "Sign Up". Options include: Start a Team, Join a Team, Join as Individual or Volunteer.

Registration Fee: $15 until 12/15/11 (enter code CLIMB2012) and $25 starting 12/16/11

Mass Transit

All participants are encouraged to take mass transit - when using the trolley, get off at the Convention Center or 5th Avenue stop.

Parking

There are many lots in downtown San Diego. The D1/D2 lots across from the main entrance to Petco Park will offer a discounted all day price. Stay tuned for more informaiton

Fundraising

We encourage you to fund raise at least $100 toward the cause. This is easier than you think! It is as easy as asking 10 friends for $10. Coaching packets and trainings are available. Please contact our office for more details 619-297-3901

Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law. The American Lung Association ® is a registered 501 (c) 3 organization. Please make checks payable to the American Lung Association in California. Please send your checks to Fight For Air Climb, 2750 Fourth Ave., San Diego, CA 92103. Include the name of the participate the donation should be credited.

A fundraising packet is available to help you reach your fundraising minimum. Check out the "Fundraising Help" page on the main menu. If you need additional help in meeting the fundraising minimum requirement, please contact our office at 619-297-3901 . The ALAC staff is happy to help coach and provide fast and efficient ideas to reach your fundraising requirement.
