The St. Vincent American Lung Association Airways Clinical Research Center (ACRC) is dedicated to advancing the care and treatment for people who suffer with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The St. Vincent ACRC and the ACRC Network enroll large numbers of people from diverse populations to ensure that the research findings are relevant to large, diverse populations, and can be interpreted with the highest level of scientific authority.

The St. Vincent ACRC is under the direction of Michael F. Busk, MD, MPH, Principal Investigator and Debra Weiss, RT, Lead Clinical Coordinator. Since 1987, Dr. Busk has conducted research in airway diseases. Since 2003, Ms. Weiss has conducted clinical research studies and is NIOSH certified for pulmonary function testing (spirometry). She also completed ACRC Coordinator Training and the American Lung Association Asthma Educator Institute.
