I am 78 years old and I was a smoker for about 40+ years. I quit smoking 21 years ago. I have routine CT scans and a nodule was detected in June 2017. A followup scan was done in September, followed by a pet scan in October.
The pet scan showed activity. I had surgery on November 13, and was told on November 17 that the surgery was a success and that I was cancer free.
