LUNG FORCE Heroes
I was diagnosed Feb. 15, 2013 with stage 4 non-small cell adenocarcinoma and given less than a year to live. I also worked in the medical field for 33 years. I'm now 53 years old and never smoked.
It's now been two years and two months since my diagnosis. I had a year of chemo and currently taking a targeted therapy drug twice daily. I'm thankful for everyday that I have. I, too, gave up my 33-year career of nursing. Best thing I did. My new job is taking care of myself!
