LUNG FORCE Heroes

Elvia R

My mom, Blanca was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in August of 2015. Her life expectancy was 3 months but she courageously fought and lived for 6 months after her diagnosis. She did radiation but opted out of chemo and chose to focus on her quality of life. Mom was such a warrior through out her battle with this awful disease. She hardly ever complained and didn't back down. Sadly, my mom passed away on February 22nd, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. She left me such beautiful memories and I miss her every single day. I will stand up against lung cancer and other lung diseases in her honor and of those battling these horrible diseases. I will live my life in loving memory of my beloved mother, Blanca.
