UnitedHealthcare Named Presenting Sponsor for the 10th Annual Fight For Air Climb at Presidential Towers

Today, the American Lung Association in Greater Chicago announced that UnitedHealthcare will serve as presenting sponsor of the 10th Annual Fight For Air Climb at Presidential Towers on March 11, 2018.
“Lung disease affects more than 1.3 million people in Illinois annually,” said Kristen Young, executive director, Lung Association in Greater Chicago. “UnitedHealthcare’s contribution as presenting sponsor is so significant in our community. From funding asthma education, to providing resources for people suffering from lung cancer, this support helps people live healthier lives every day.”
On March 11, 2018, thousands of Chicago residents will climb stairs of up to four Presidential Towers to help raise awareness and money to fight lung disease. Each tower is 45 floors and 585 steps, so those who climb all four towers will complete a total of 180 floors and 2,340 steps.
“The American Lung Association improves the lives of our neighbors living with lung disease and is making significant strides in finding a cure for lung cancer,” said Mike Telesky, vice president of UnitedHealthcare and Local Leadership Board member for the Lung Association in Greater Chicago. “UnitedHealthcare is grateful for the opportunity to support the American Lung Association, and we encourage fellow Chicagoans to join the Fight For Air Climb.”
The Fight For Air Climb helps save lives locally by raising awareness about the risk factors of lung disease, helping people manage their illness through educational training, funding research to find a cure for lung cancer and much more. Nearly 90 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to education, research and advocacy.
