American Lung Association of the Mountain Pacific Names Allison Hickey as New CEO

PORTLAND– The American Lung Association of the Mountain Pacific recently announced the appointment of Allison Hickey as President and Chief Executive Officer effective December 1, 2015, succeeding outgoing CEO Renée Klein. Hickey previously served as an executive director of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) in California. Hickey will assume responsibility for operational strategy, health education, advocacy, financial oversight, fundraising, marketing and volunteer outreach. She will be responsible for ensuring continued growth and operational excellence across the region, which comprises Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.
While with the ADA in California, Hickey oversaw strategic planning, public health programs, community partnerships, marketing and communications, financial management, board and volunteer engagement, advocacy and fundraising. Hickey brings more than 20 years’ experience in both the nonprofit and business sectors. Prior to working with the ADA in California, she served as a marketing consultant for Fortune 500 companies including Disney, Burger King, Taco Bell, Warner Brothers, Mitsubishi and Nextel. She has additional nonprofit experience with the YMCA in Tennessee. Hickey has a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Redlands in Business Administration.
