Inaugural LUNG FORCE Walk exceeds expectations

The first annual American Lung Association in Wisconsin LUNG FORCE Walk was a success by any measure! Participants, sponsorships and revenues all surpassed goals AND expectations by healthy margins. 1,345 walkers raised more than $100,000 to fight lung cancer and other lung disease.
Participants received a passport to visit the four LUNG FORCE tents where they could Take a Stand, Build Our Force, Raise their Voice and Breathe Deeper in the quest to end lung disease.
Walkers who raised a minimum of $100 received a LUNG FORCE Walk T-shirt in the LUNG FORCE signature teal color.
Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, Associated Bank and Humana Vitality were the three top sponsors for the event. The top three fundraising teams were Wheaton Franciscan “The Lung and the Breathless,” Kate’s Peak Flow Patrol and Aurora’s Second Chance for Breath. Top three individual fundraisers were Coreen Dicus-Johnson, $2,285; Dona Wininsky, $1,725 and Brenda Serio, $1,340.
