American Lung Association Ready for 7th Annual Fight for Air Climb in Springfield

Springfield, MA - Who: American Lung Association of the Northeast and 200 participants, firefighters and volunteers will “Fight for Air” at the 7th Annual Fight for Air Climb sponsored by  Monarch Place, WMAS 94.7, WWLP 22, AMP, CBS Sports Radio, Sheraton MVP Pub, Telemundo, Poland Spring and Kindred.

 What: Participants will climb the 528 stairs, also known as the “vertical road race” to help raise funds for the American Lung Association of the Northeast.

 When: Saturday, November 8. Registration opens promptly at 8 a.m. and the first climber takes off at 9 a.m.

 Where: One Monarch Place, Springfield, MA. An after party and awards ceremony will follow immediately after the stair climb at MVP Pub at the Sheraton, located inside Monarch Place.

 Why: For over 100 years the Lung Association has been at the forefront of Fight for Air. All proceeds from the Fight for Air Climb in Springfield will directly fund lung disease research, advocacy and education; including smoking cessation programs, COPD/asthma management, and advocacy for stronger clean air standards.
