The American Lung Association in Nebraska’s 37th Annual Omaha Corporate Cup powered by Green Plains, Inc., set for September 10, is poised to be one of the most impactful events in Omaha’s history. The numbers predict a big turnout of participants and teams that will all run to help save lives.

To date, the event has raised nearly $300,000, which is 85 percent of the association’s goal of $350,000. Additionally, there are currently:

• 4,400 racers registered
• 131 teams registered

This Friday, September 1, the registration price increases from $45 to $55 for individual and community team registration, and from $35 to $45 for corporate team registration.

“Every year, the out-pouring of support is tremendous,” said Julia McCarville, executive director of the Lung Association in Nebraska. “More than a great day for the community, the Corporate Cup funds educational support and trainings that are vital for improving the health of the citizens of Omaha.”

The 10K and 2 Mile run/walk is the Lung Association’s signature fundraising event and is one of the largest corporate road races in the United States. Attracting more than 5,000 runners and walkers annually, hundreds of companies also participate.

The proceeds of the event will help fund the American Lung Association’s ongoing support of education, research and advocacy in finding a cure for lung disease.
