Second Annual LUNG FORCE Walk Surpasses 2014

The “sea of turquoise” grew this year as the second annual American Lung Association in Wisconsin LUNG FORCE Walk grew to over 1500 walkers, all walking in support of women with lung cancer and other lung diseases.

1553 walkers representing 82 teams raised over $106,000 in the fight aqainst lung disease while touring the beautiful grounds of the Milwaukee County Zoo.   The Lung Association expects the total to rise, as funding raising continues.  Donations can be made until November 4 at the LUNG FORCE Walk website.

Top three fundraising teams are:

  1. Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare: Top Lung ($12,558.90)
  2. Memory Walkers ($3,102.00)
  3. Aurora Second Chance for Breath ($3,073.00)

Top Individuals include:

  1. Coreen Dicus Johnson ($5,363.00)
  2. Kimberly Schmidt ($2,160.00)
  3. Connie Dake ($1,205.00)
