Susan Everitt

Susan Everitt has donated her time and graphic design expertise to the American Lung Association, valued at thousands of dollars. She helped make South Carolina’s highest fundraising event in its history the Charleston Oxygen Ball.

She created the logo for the Charleston Oxygen Ball’s Lowcountry Dancing with the Stars event for the past two years. Additionally she has agreed to allow two other Oxygen Balls to use her art work to help save costs. In addition to graphic design of the event logo, Susan designed an extremely detailed event program.

Susan has been a volunteer of the American Lung Association for nearly five years. She started volunteering at the Fight For Air Run/Walk and was quickly recruited to design art work. She became an important member of the planning team for the 2011 Oxygen Ball which grossed nearly $150,000. She helped secure auction items in addition to volunteers for the event. She has obtained donations from printing companies for a huge savings especially with the Oxygen Ball programs. She also agreed to help the local ALA revitalize their website for the Oxygen Ball, and she created a new design which will be used in the fall of 2011.

Mitch Gilbert, President-Elect of the local ALA in South Carolina Coastal Region Leadership Board, stated "Susan is an invaluable member of our Oxygen Ball Committee. Her dedication to our mission goes above and beyond any reasonable expectations, sharing her exceptional graphic artistry talent for our event program, website and other promotional materials. We would not enjoy the success we have had without her!"
