Franky Pipes

Franky Pipes and Kohl’s Cares for Kids, understand the meaning of committing time and resources so that the American Lung Association can reach its financial goals in support of programs and services. To that end, Ms. Pipes and her Kohl’s A-Team Associates have donated more than 150 service hours, and Kohl’s Cares for Kids follows up each service commitment with a check for $500.

Franky has always been ready to jump into the fray during an event to deploy her team of volunteers to maximize their service hours. More creatively, the Kohl’s stores open their doors so that American Lung Association program staff members can do a small on-site event with the Kohl’s volunteers.

By hosting these monthly in-store events, Franky has enabled us to raise awareness about lung disease, distribute information to those interested, and raise funds so that we can continue our life-impacting programs and services in our community. Franky recently stated: “Our volunteer team had a great time working with Gail and the staff at American Lung Association. Between both stores last night’s (Legacy Place Food & Wine Experience) event marks our 25th sponsorship in the last 12 months! We have truly enjoyed each opportunity and look forward to the continued partnership with assisting your mission.”

In the past two years, Kohl’s department store has become a significant partner for the American Lung Association in the Palm Beach County area. Shortly after opening its first Palm Beach County location, Kohl’s invited the American Lung Association to participate in its Kohl’s Cares for Kids program. The program supports charities that improve the lives of children. To date, we have received in excess of $15,000 and utilized over 150 volunteer hours! Kohl’s A-Team volunteers and the Kohl’s Cares for Kids program have been amazing partners for the American Lung Association in the Southeast, providing much needed funds for Open Airways for Schools and other school related programs.
