Michelle Kostelich

Volunteer

Michelle Kostelich has volunteered for the American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic’s Fight for Air Climb in York, PA for the past six years as the member of the Allergy & Asthma Consultants team. During the last three years, Michelle has been serving as a member of the Leadership Team for the York Fight for Air Walk. Part of her commitment is the coordination of multiple sandwich sale events that are a wrap-around for the annual Walk. Most recently, Michelle has served as Team Captain for her team, A&A Crusaders. In addition, Michelle has led warm-up exercises before the last three walks, as she is also a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). If that’s not enough, for the past several years Michelle has also helped extensively with the Yell BINGO and Save Lives wrap-around, also for the York Walk.

When not volunteering for the American Lung Association, Michelle is a Medical Transcriptionist for Allergy & Asthma Consultants in York, a position she has held the past 11 years. Angie Showman, Michele’s supervisor had this to say about Michelle, “Michelle is wonderful. She is a loyal, dedicated, kind-hearted, multi-tasker who can do anything she puts her mind to. We love her.” And so does the American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic!

It’s easy to understand why Michelle is so committed to the mission of the American Lung Association. She lost her father, when he was only 56, to lung cancer. Her father-in-law died from COPD complications at the age of 72. Michelle honors their memory – and helps the American Lung Association – through her volunteer efforts.
