Joe Campbell

Joe Campbell has been a volunteer with the American Lung Association of the Southeast for five years. Since becoming involved, he has become a member of the local Leadership Board. He is dedicated to the leadership team for the annual Oxygen Ball in Charleston, SC. He also served as the Chair for the Association’s Fight for Air 5K Run/walk, and has been a member of the committee for four years. Joe has helped to raise over $10,000 for the ALA's mission in the Charleston area.

Joe goes above and beyond to participate in all meetings, despite his busy schedule between work and family. Joe and his wife, along with two sons, attend the Fight for Air 5K Run/Walk every year, and bring their enthusiasm and team spirit. He even agreed to wear a boxer costume, "Fighting For Air" in the Association’s Halloween costume contest.

As the ideal fundraising volunteer, Joe is always brainstorming new ways to help support the ALA. He promotes the American Lung Association everywhere he goes, especially in his work place. Joe is a Personal Banker with First Reliance Bank, a corporate sponsor for many ALA fundraising events.

According to Lori DeNicola, Development/Program Coordinator, “Joe is very inspiring and serves as the perfect example of volunteerism."
