Emily C.

Emily C., a teenage volunteer with the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest, was recently crowned Miss Teen North Dakota International. She uses this platform to help educate and raise awareness about teen tobacco use.

She introduced the state’s first Teen Tobacco Awareness Day and convinced North Dakota Governor John Hoeven to proclaim November 10th as Teen Tobacco Free Day. She has been invited to participate in multiple press conferences where she always includes representatives from the American Lung Association. Most recently, she has been selected by the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest to serve as the 2010 Christmas Seals Volunteer.

Emily is a varsity cheerleader at Bismarck High School, member of the North Dakota High School Rodeo Association, and member of the Young Eagles Flight program.
