Ellen B. Ceppetelli, M.S., R.N.

Ellen Ceppetelli, American Lung Association Board member and representative delegate from Vermont, is the Director of Nursing Education at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, adjunct faculty at the University of Vermont School of Nursing, and instructor in Family and Community Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School. She was on faculty at Norwich University for 14 years and served as the Assistant Director of the Vermont Nursing Initiative. Ellen is a Visiting Scholar at the Harvard School of Public Health in Occupational and Environmental Health. She has been named a Guiding Light for the American Nurses Association Luminary Project for her efforts to improve environmental health through education and individual activism. Ellen has recently been named project director of the CDC-funded Healthcare Worker Health Promotion Project at DHMC and in June 2005 will be the Acting Chair of the Colby Sawyer College Department of Nursing.

A member of the American Lung Association of Vermont Board since 1990, Ellen currently serves on its Advocacy and Personnel Committees. At the national level, she has served on the Nominating, Organizational Effectiveness Steering, and Program Coordinating Committees; National Action Panel on Tobacco and Best Practices Task Force. In addition to her volunary service with the Lung Association, Ellen is Board member and Vice President of the Nightingale Institute for Health and the Environment.
