Patty Ginsburg

Patty Ginsburg is a lung cancer survivor who has chosen to pay forward her gratitude for her survival in volunteer service to the American Lung Association.

Patty, her husband Steve, and her Clean Air Challenge "Team Patty" have cumulatively raised over $110,000 for the Lung Association through cycling events over the last six years.

In advocacy, Patty has been a strong voice in the state capital in Juneau, Alaska for smokefree air. She has shared her story as a former smoker and a lung cancer survivor and leveraged her personal relationships to move forward a previously stalled statewide smokefree workplace bill.

She has become a passionate advocate for tobacco prevention, smokefree air, healthcare coverage and research funding. She is an effective and connected mission-driven governance leader and fundraiser, and her leadership has been instrumental in building the organization in this region.

She is a true volunteer.
