Planned Giving

Planned GivingFor more than 100 years, the American Lung Association has been working to ensure that every one of us can breathe easier. Lung cancer, smoking, air pollution, asthma, COPD and other lung diseases make breathing difficult for millions of Americans. That is why we raise money to fund research, advocacy, and education nationwide.

You can help millions breathe easier by remembering the American Lung Association in your will or trust.

The policy of the American Lung Association is to put all bequests to work in the state where the donor resides to support the mission of the association, unless otherwise specified.

The suggested language to leave a bequest to the American Lung Association is:

"I, (name), of (city, state ZIP), give, devise, and bequeath to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601; (specific dollar amount or percentage of the estate or description of the property) to be used for its general purposes."
