Liz Hoffmann

Liz Hoffmann learned about the dangers of radon the hard way - when she was diagnosed with lung cancer. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers. As she battles cancer and endures chemotherapy, Liz is on a mission to educate others about this invisible gas that lurks in many of our basements.

She has been an active spokesperson for the Lung Association, urging people to get their homes tested for radon. In February, she was interviewed for a feature on radon and in March shared her story with Climb participants. Most recently, Liz was the subject of a video that was presented to over 640 guests at the O2 Oxygen Ball. Her moving story promoted people to open their hearts and their wallets to fund research into preventing and curing lung cancer.
