Lung Association Oxygen Ball a Great Success!

MILWAUKEE, WI – The American Lung Association in Wisconsin’s 19th annual O2 Oxygen Ball was held this past Saturday at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee. The gala was attended by more than 550 local community and business leaders, including Wisconsin Governor and First Lady, Scott and Tonette Walker, and raised more than $400,000. This year’s Oxygen Ball was co-chaired by Natalie and Jerry Frye, Dawn and Dustin Hinton and Karin and Masood Wasiullah. Proceeds from the event will fund  the mission of the Lung Association, including research, educational programs, community services  and advocacy to help those with lung disease and those at risk.

“This year’s event was truly a moving experience,” said Sue Swan, Executive Director of the American Lung Association in Wisconsin.  “The revenue generated through corporate sponsorships, our live and silent auctions and the table underwriting is vitally important the fight for air and working to prevent and better treat lung disease.  We know the faces and the stories of so many that are helped by the generosity of our guests.”

Gala guests enjoyed opportunities to win trips, diamonds and wine as well as silent, super silent and live auction items.  High value auction items included trips to New York, Vancouver, Scottsdale and Satellite Beach, Florida as well as a number of sports experiences and the opportunity to be the very first guest at the new Marriott Milwaukee Downtown.
