New volunteer leadership elected for ALA in VA
(July 26, 2010)—
Bob Leek, long-time ALA volunteer from Williamsburg, has been elected as Chair of the ALA in Virginia’s Leadership Council. He succeeds Marybeth Saunders of Virginia Beach. Bob is a Senior Physician Liaison for Sentara Healthcare.
The role of the Leadership Council is to increase resources to fund local programs and services, to raise the profile of the ALA in the communities it serves, and to advocate for lung health through public policy initiatives. Bob will be leading a group of dedicated volunteers throughout the next year in helping the ALA to achieve its mission of saving lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
