Public Policy & Advocacy
The American Lung Association envisions a world free from lung disease. To make our vision a reality, we promote lung health and prevent lung disease through public policy. Our advocacy work promotes legislation that strengthens tobacco prevention and control, clean air quality, asthma management and other lung health causes.
Asthma Inhaler Laws
Schools became a safer place for the estimated 18,665 children in South Dakota with asthma with the passage of Senate Bill 83. Students now have the right to carry their medications with them during the school day. » More
