Saidie Orr Dunbar Nursing Education Fund

The Saidie Orr Dunbar Nursing Education Fund Trust was established by the Oregon Federation of Women’s Clubs and the American Lung Association of Oregon in 1956 in recognition of Saidie Orr Dunbar who was a leader in the development of public health services in Oregon.  The average award is $1,000 to $3,000.

Applicants must have been accepted to a nursing degree program in an institution of higher learning and must practice in Oregon upon graduation. Particular emphasis is given to preparation in public health nursing.

Application deadline is May 15, 2013 for awards to be made after July 31, 2013.
