Dr. Herbert J. Wilson

Bernard Gregory Award for Diversity Recipient

In June, our National organization recognized Dr. Herbert J. Wilson of Bismarck, ND for his outstanding work at the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation with the members of the Mandan, Arikara and Hidatsa tribes. We're proud to put Dr. Wilson in the spotlight for his efforts and thank him for his work in these communities.

For more than 50 years, Dr. Wilson was one of the few physicians in the area working to combat tuberculosis and other diseases that plagued the tribes for many years. His dedication saved lives and educated many on preventative measures and care for better lung health.

Dr. Wilson truly deserved the Bernard Gregory Award for Diversity and we are thankful both for his service as a Lung Association volunteer and for his work promoting lung health. Congratulations Dr. Wilson!
