Bismarck is Smoke Free!

(April 19, 2011)

On Tuesday, April 19th, Bismarck voters said "NO" to smoking in bars, truck stops and tobacco shops with a 5,273 to 3,554 vote in a special referendum election. The ban went into effect Wednesday, April 27th.

We couldn't be happier with this outcome and must thank all our volunteers and supporters for making this feat possible and for being part of a truly grassroots effort. Everyone deserves to breathe smoke-free air and this is one more step toward making the entire state smoke-free.
