Ross P. Lanzafame, Esq.

Mr. Lanzafame, Speaker-elect of the American Lung Association Nationwide Assembly, is a partner at the Rochester, NY based law firm of Harter Secrest & Emery, LLP. He has served as representative delegate to the American Lung Association Nationwide Assembly since June, 2008.  He also served on the National Board from 2006-08.  His areas of expertise and skills are in health care law, non-profit governance and non-profit corporation law, Medicare/Medicaid, corporate compliance and health facility operation and management.
Mr. Lanzafame joined the volunteer ranks of the American Lung Association 14 years ago with the local affiliate in Rochester, New York.  Locally he has served as board president of the American Lung Association – Finger Lakes Region, and then subsequently as the Chair of the American Lung Association of New York State.  He also served on the Development, By-Laws, Executive, Asthma Walk Steering and Special Events Committees.   He is currently the Chair of the board of directors for the American Lung Association in New York.  He was nationally recognized for his volunteer service, being awarded a Volunteer Excellence Award by the American Lung Association in June, 2008.

In addition to his service to the American Lung Association, Mr. Lanzafame is active in his profession, being a member of The American Bar Association and The American Health Lawyers Association and The National Association of Chiropractic Attorneys (Treasurer).  He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, serving as Past Chair of the Health Law Section.   Mr. Lanzafame is active within his community, serving as Vice-Chair of the Rochester Friendly Home, Inc., immediate Past Chair of the Community Place of Greater Rochester, Inc., Vice President of the Cornell Alumni Association, a member of the board of Western NY Wellness, Inc., and a member of the board of Families and Friends of Murdered Children and Victims of Violence, Inc.
