ROCHESTER, NY (WXXI) - Monroe County gets a failing grade for its air quality for the second year in a row.
That's according to the American Lung Association's State of the Air 2010 report.
It says Monroe County gets an "F" for the number of "orange" days in 2009, or days with ozone pollution considered unhealthy for sensitive groups.
With 17, that's two fewer than the year before.
The report gives the county a "B" for just one "orange" short-term particle day. That's up from a "C" grade the year before.
19 of the 33 counties in the state with air quality monitors received a failing grade, according the Lung Association's latest report.
