Program Manager
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1) Build relationships with property owners and managers statewide.
2) Establish a statewide smoke-free multi-unit housing network.
3) Facilitate smoke-free events and smoking cessation workshops for owners, managers, and tenants.
4) Participate in the National Multi-Unit Housing Network Affiliation.
5) Attend approved conferences and trainings.
6) Some in state travel required.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Contribute to development of annual targets and strategies that help the organization toward achieving the goals outlined in the nationwide ALA Strategic Plan; assist with quarterly reporting on progress toward targets.
2) Work, as assigned, on the implementation of the ALASW region-wide strategic plan.
3) Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Executive Director including special events.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, enabling them to build relationships and work effectively with multi-unit housing owners, managers, and tenants.
Candidates for this position must have a bachelors degree in public health, health education, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university; program and volunteer management experience; experience in tobacco control a plus; excellent organizational, verbal and written skills; ability to organize and work independently; demonstrated skills in use of computers and software used by the association; bi-lingual skills in English and Spanish a plus.
