Fight For Air Day at the Water Park of America!
(February 15, 2012)—
On Sunday, February 12th, more than 1,100 people joined us for our Fight For Air Day at the Water Park of America! We host this event every year to raise awareness about our Fight For Air Climb and to help raise funds to fight lung disease and promote clean air.
This year, we raised $11,000 and had a ton of fun! Our guests rode on the Park’s numerous water slides, swam in the swimming pools, wave pools and lazy rivers, and enjoyed the Northern Lights Arcade.
KARE 11 generously helped us to promote our Fight For Air Day with ads promoting the event and did a great interview with local Golden Valley firefighter, Steve Baker and American Lung Association Special Event Director, Maura Studer that you can watch here.
Thank you to all those who came out. We had a great day and will see you at the Fight For Air Climb on February 25th!
