(September 5, 2012)

Mendota Heights, MN – After more than 23 years of service to the local American Lung Association in Minnesota and then the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest Board of Directors, Audrene Lojovich has accepted a position of Speaker-Elect with the American Lung Association National Assembly. Lojovich has retired from the regional board as she accepts her new national role. In recognition of her service, the regional board has named the “2012-2013 Audrene Lojovich Social Behavior Research Award” in her honor.

image“Audrene has been such a critical member of our strategic team in both Minnesota and with the larger regional board, we will greatly miss her input and counsel,” said Harold Wimmer, Chief Executive Officer of the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest. “However, we’re excited for her in her new role and know that her contributions on the national level will be significant and very positive for the organization overall.”

Lovjovich’s long tenure of service for the American Lung Association includes chairing the regional board from 2006 – 2008, and serving on several national committees, including as the Vice-Chair of the National Strategic Planning Committee. She is retired from a 45-year career with Securian Financial Group in St. Paul, Minnesota.
